These are 3 of Corkys Footwear's most popular styles, including Carley, which is their flagship or OG shoe.
First, let's start with what they all have in common.
- All 3 styles feature the signature Corkys cushioned insole, allowing for all day comfort. If you've never tried on one of these styles, you should because you have to wear it to believe it! We invite you in to our store or to find us at one of our events and experience the most comfortable + stylish shoes EVER!
- They also have the velcro hook & loop closure which allows for easy on and off.
- All 3 styles have - pretty much - the same upper design with open toe, open heel and side cut outs.
- All have a wedge with platform heel that is made of a lightweight cork.
- And last, they all come in a wide variety of color, material + heel options.
So which shoe is right for you? Here's a quick summary to help you decide. The main difference between Volta, Carley and Freddie are the heel heights.
- With Volta, you have the lower heel at about 2" with a 1" platform. So if you're not looking to add much height this is the shoe for you! Also, it's ideal if you have a flatter arch. The higher the heel, the higher the arch you'll need for that perfect fit.
- Carley is the OG and has the most variety to choose from. With a 2.5" heel height and 1" platform, it's your Goldilocks option - not too low and not high but just right. If you have a high arch, you will find these to be a perfect fit for you!
- Freddie comes in with a heel height of 3.75" and 2" platform. Don't let that scare you though, the heel to toe differential is not too drastic and they are still easy to wear and walk in. And it's ideal for the highest of arches. Most of the Freddie styles have a jute wrapping around the heel giving them the espadrille look. My favorite Freddie feature is the squarish toe - a very sophisticated detail!
So there you have it - the distinguishing factor between the 3 styles really comes down to how tall you want your shoes to be and how high of an arch you have.
