Refund policy

For online orders that require shipping: rivers + roads offers FREE returns for store credit (no refunds). Returns are processed via Re:Do. You can start your return here. We encourage you to read this return policy in its entirety before proceeding.

What is Re:Do? Re:Do is a third-party that we use to make our returns process affordable and easy! It's included for all non-final sale items (see list below).

How does it work? Subject to the terms of this return policy, Re:Do will cover the cost of the label to ship back your qualified item(s).

  • You will be emailed a gift card upon receipt of your approved return. These gift cards do not expire. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
  • Return labels expire after 15 days in compliance with our terms and conditions below, so do not delay in sending back your return once you receive the label. It could result in a denied return.

For online orders with in-store pickup: For all non-final sale items, you may return the item to the store within 15 days from the date your order was ready for pick up. You will receive a store credit or gift card (no refunds) in the amount paid at the time of purchase plus any applicable taxes. Your gift card/store credit will not expire. Please see the list below of final sale items.

For in-store purchases: For all non-final sale items, you may return the item to the store within 15 days from the date of purchase (check your receipt) for a store credit or gift card (no refunds) in the amount paid at the time of purchase plus any applicable taxes. Your gift card/store credit will not expire. Please see the list below of final sale items.

Terms and Conditions:
Any returns submitted after the return window will be denied - please see above for the return window based on your purchase channel.

For your return item(s) to be approved once received, they must be scent-free, unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached, no pet hair, no deodorant or makeup stains or stains of any kind. Shoes must be unworn and returned in the original shoe box, packaged in a shipping box or polymailer. Please do not mail the shoes in the shoe box alone. Any infractions will result in a denied return.

Please include your packing slip with the return. We are not responsible for any lost packages or damage to items incurred during the return transit. Please ensure that your return is packaged securely and weather/water-tight.

There may be a restocking fee of up to $15 for returns, which will be at the discretion of rivers + roads.

If items are sent back past the return policy period or do not meet the above criteria resulting in a denied return, the customer is responsible for reclaiming the items via shipment or in-store pickup.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS: the following items will not be approved for returns.

  • accessories 
  • jewelry 
  • intimates 
  • body suits
  • socks
  • face masks
  • sale items
  • discounted items
  • anything marked FINAL SALE

Occasionally we will offer items for pre-order, which are clearly marked as such. If prior to shipment of your item you change your mind, you will be able to switch to a similar item (a fee may be incurred if the item costs more than the pre-ordered item) or you will receive a gift card.
